My mission at Cosmic Wave Acupuncture is to guide patients to create balance and achieve optimal flow. Treatments focus on bringing alignment to the body’s natural cycles. I believe mind, body, spirit and environment have a direct affect on your health and well being. I takes an integrative approach to your health combining ancient teachings and modern understanding when designing your customized treatment plan.

I specialize in creating comprehensive programs for wellness, menstrual health, menopause symptoms, anxiety, scar therapy, chronic pain relief and postpartum care. Cosmic Wave healing programs are multi modality using acupuncture, fire cupping, reiki, tui na, sound therapy, lifestyle coaching, nutrition, and herbal medicine to support the body during the healing process.

Shannon Jontz, L. Ac, MTOM, B. Ed., B. A. Shannon Jontz L. Ac is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and reiki practitioner who graduated summa cum laude from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. Shannon has treated patients in multiple integrative medical settings including Venice Family Clinic, Being Alive Community Clinic in West Hollywood, and the Khalsa Medical Clinic in Beverly Hills. Shannon has experience working with all ages and is trained in Shoni-Shin, a non-invasive pediatric technique. She has been trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese-Style acupuncture. Shannon is a certified Sound Therapy practitioner.

Shannon was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She earned her Psychology, B. A. and Developmental Psychology B. Ed from the University of Toronto. Shannon skated roller derby with the Los Angeles Derby Dolls. When Shannon is not in the clinic you will find her surfing, hiking, Fire hooping, and camping with her partner, child and dog Leia.
